Job Title: Linux System Software Developer
Location: Bethesda, MD USA Preferred
Department: Engineering
Job Summary:
Develop Linux based embedded software for a network security product, create scripts to build, package, install and upgrade the product. Support released products, investigate and solve problems reported by system test and from customers.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong C programming experience
- Experience with Linux kernel level and/or driver module programming
- Experience working on or developing Linux device drivers
- Unix shell programming experience, preferably bash
- Knowledge of Internet Protocols from a protocol (not application programming) perspective highly desired
- Experience with embedded systems will be a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
Other Desirable Requirements:
- Understanding of Infiniband or Ethernet protocol will be a plus
- Understanding of security systems, secure programming practices, security exploits, penetration testing, and similar will be a plus
- Linux system administration experience will be a plus
- Database experience with PostgreSQL will be a plus

Job Title: Java Application Software Developer

Job Summary:
Develop, enhance and maintain a Java based configuration, network status and reporting application for a network security product. Develop Java based web applications for internal and external use. Support released products, investigate and solve problems reported by system test and from customers.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong Java programming experience
- Experience with database programming including developing database schema, performance tuning and database replication, experience with PostgreSQL will be a plus
- Experience with complex standalone and web based GUI application
- Experience with data manipulation, presentation and charting
- Experience with XML processing
- Prior experience in object-oriented design methodology, JSP, JAVA Beans, JDBC required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
Other Desirable Requirements:
- Prior experience in J2EE, including Servlets, JavaScript/AJAX a plus
- Understanding of networking, communications, network protocols will be a plus

Job Title: System Test Engineer

Job Summary:
Develop test strategies and procedures for design verification of network security product which includes a Java based configuration, network status and reporting system Perform features, functions, stability, and regression testing of products. Work with customer service to support customers and to reproduce and investigate customer reported problems.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Develop test strategies and procedures for design verification of anti-DDoS product and related Java based configuration tool, network status and reporting application
- Develop documentation of validation and regression test plans and procedures
- Perform features, functions, stability, and regression testing of products
- Design, implement, and manage lab configurations to emulate network topologies
- Coordinate testing activities with the rest of the test team as well as with the developers
- Assist in reproduction of customer issues
- Provide feedback to developers to improve the usability of the products
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking related protocol
- Ability to use a variety of tools and strategies for troubleshooting and analyzing traffic and networking issues
- Experienced in developing automated test scripts
- Linux system administration experience will be a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self motivated and work well in a team environment.
Other desirable requirements:
- Hands on Cisco switch/router experience
- Hands on IDS/IPS products experience
- Skilled in UNIX shell scripting or Perl
- Database experience with PostgreSQL
- Hands on experience with firewalls, DHCP, DNS, NTP servers
